WHERES MY ORDER (09/16)
September 16, 2026
Yesterday, the overhaul of the apparel side of our operations officially commenced and will continue through the start of Homecoming.
Over the last month, Ebony, our current Order Fulfillment Chair, alongside our Recovery and Packing Teams, has worked to create a system designed to knock out tasks and resolve issues that have plagued our apparel operations since the summer of 2023.
A lot of work went into planning this overhaul: securing volunteer packers, collecting the schedules of scholarship recipients who are required to assist with order fulfillment, partnering with our media team to secure models for clearance merchandise, updating stock photos, reviewing inventory, and creating a more efficient process for addressing outstanding orders and concerns.
The goal is simple: rectify all outstanding issues and put better systems in place moving forward.
To prevent a surplus of emails being sent directly to our advisors, please be advised that our team is aware of what was ordered, when it was ordered, and the issues that still need to be addressed. Our advisors generally do not intervene with processes already being handled by the Order Fulfillment and Recovery Teams. Advisor involvement is typically reserved for matters that require direct communication with manufacturers and vendors.
We are confident in the work being done and the systems that have been put in place.
There is a lot of work ahead of us, but the work has started.
Thank you for your continued patience as we get it done.

Greetings Bison,
We have returned to Fulfillment Operations for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This academic season will be another one of transition as we bring new members onto the team. The days of scholarship and grant recipients whose funding is supported by apparel doing nothing are over. Recipients will now be required to complete community service hours if they wish to have their scholarships renewed.
We believe this change will increase our ability to take on a larger volume of orders and get them out within reasonable timeframes. It also allows us to strategically address fulfillment issues that existed before my appointment as Chair.
Although Last Bison Standing is not a brick-and-mortar apparel store, when you place an order and give us your money, you should absolutely receive what you paid for within the timeframe listed. We don’t believe our mission excuses us from that responsibility.
Apparel is held in different locations, and packing hours are based on the availability of our team, volunteers, and recipients. There are days when we are able to ship the same day, the next day, or within the 2–5 business days listed online. Sometimes there are delays that are outside of our control, and we do our best to navigate those situations as they arise.
Anytime a crisis or emergency situation occurs, we will shut everything down to focus our attention on the matter at hand. Our team is small, and we are a support system for many students who do not have people to advocate for them.
When that happens, fulfillment may temporarily take a back seat. That is not because your order does not matter. It is because sometimes the work requires us to prioritize a student in crisis over packing a sweatshirt.
We are appreciative of the support and want our community to know that we do not take it for granted. Proceeds from apparel allow us to help people privately without having to launch a fundraising campaign every time someone is in need.

HERD,
At the start of the academic year, I mentioned that the Order Fulfillment Chair is the hardest volunteer position to hold. Despite the challenges throughout the year, I’m proud of the progress we have made and the new systems we’ve put in place.
Now that the academic year has officially ended, all of our attention and resources have been dedicated to expediting the shipping of new orders, fulfilling pre-orders, and resolving outstanding ones.
Our team has been working backwards through the queue.
At times, situations arise beyond our control that must take precedence over apparel operations. When that happens, we make the necessary adjustments, and sometimes that means temporarily shutting operations down for extended periods.
Those shutdown periods allowed me to address vendors and manufacturers directly in person. Some relationships have ended, while others have moved forward under newly established terms and expectations.
Proceeds from apparel are vital in helping ensure that the financial assistance we provide remains renewable and sustainable.
Thank you for your patience and continued support as we work to clear out inventory and resolve outstanding orders.
With Gratitude,
Ebony
